Ocean on Tap returns to Footbridge Brewery for another evening of beer, science, and conversation.
On Thursday, August 27 at 6 PM, join Katie Tilton, Ari Leach, and Jay Turnure from the Maine Department of Marine Resources Nearshore Marine Resources Program for a conversation about the work happening along Maine’s shoreline.
The Nearshore Program monitors intertidal organisms and coastal habitats throughout Maine. During the evening, the team will discuss how their surveys are conducted, what they are learning from Maine’s tidal areas, the role their work plays in municipal shellfish management, and some of the creatures you might be surprised to find living in the mud.
