SUMMARY:Ocean on Tap: A Night with the Nearshore Program
DESCRIPTION:Ocean on Tap returns to Footbridge Brewery for another evening of beer\, science\, and conversation. \nOn Thursday\, August 27 at 6 PM\, join Katie Tilton\, Ari Leach\, and Jay Turnure from the Maine Department of Marine Resources Nearshore Marine Resources Program for a conversation about the work happening along Maine’s shoreline. \nThe Nearshore Program monitors intertidal organisms and coastal habitats throughout Maine. During the evening\, the team will discuss how their surveys are conducted\, what they are learning from Maine’s tidal areas\, the role their work plays in municipal shellfish management\, and some of the creatures you might be surprised to find living in the mud. \nOcean on Tap is designed to make marine science approachable\, interesting\, and fun. Grab a Footbridge beer\, settle in\, and learn more about the ecosystems right outside our door here on the Maine coast.
